I'm one of those that never plan to really grow up, at least not yet. I play more sim games now than I did when I was younger. One of the funniest part of sim games in my opinion is making photo manipulations. I do my manips in Photoshop 7, Photoshop CS and seldom in Photoshop Elements 2 or 3 (i don't know which one it is). I don't think you need the fanciest and newest photoshop out there to make good art. I could probably use freewere to make the same results too if I needed to. I also do my manips with mouse, I have not just one but two tablets but it's only one of them that is working and the other one is no where near as good as the mouse.
I always add credits to the photographers while using other people's stock. Because not doing so is art theft and meanwhile many other photo manipulation artist steal images, it's not something everyone does and someone need to be a role model. It's too easy to take stock images for granted, when we should celebrate and embrace those photographers that put their pictures up as stock!
While I can make most manips come true, I prefer to do those with natural backgrounds. I can add limbs, change ear shape, dock tails, make a solid animal piebald and other interesting changes.
